Julia A. Merritt
Julia the Managing Attorney at Atlanta Personal Injury Law Group, and is also leading the firm’s Mass Torts department.
Julia has practiced litigation in Georgia since 2005. In 2021, Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel, Chief Judge of the Southern District of Illinois, appointed Julia as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee for the Paraquat Multi-District Litigation. Julia has represented hundreds of plaintiffs with Parkinson’s disease due to toxic exposure to the commercial herbicide paraquat, and is still accepting cases.
Julia has been lead counsel in the Camp Lejune toxic water exposure litigation, lead counsel in talc injury cases filed under the Asbestos Act throughout Georgia, and lead counsel in numerous wrongful death and complex products liability cases throughout Georgia.
Julia has been rated AV-Preeminent since 2016, which is the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
